Yeah that's what he told that if he adopts me I won't have to pay the high fee. It was like a side benefit which I wanted to learn about by posting it in the relevant forums. Anyway, sorry if I came off the wrong way.

Unfortunately your friend doesn't understand adoption.

You have been given the same answer over and over again. The answer to your question is no. The feat your are proposing is NOT feasible. You can keep asking the same thing in different ways - the answer will still be no.

To qualify for lower fees, you must become a PR. However even if your friend adopts you, he still cannot sponsor you for PR. Again, what you are proposing is not a legal option. It will not work. There is no point even trying. It is guaranteed to fail.

Once again, if you want to become a PR and qualify for lower fees, then you must qualify for PR on your own through an economic immigration program like Express Entry based on your work experience, education, English language skills and other factors.

Could you explain a bit more? This was the only option he told me.

You are an adult in university. You can't be adopted, period.

Your friend doesn't understand what adoption really means. This is again, not an option for you to even consider.
