My wife (Thai) tells me that she heard of Canadian-Thai families moving to Canada once sponsorship is approved, to wait for a decision on the permanent resident application. Apparently being approved as a sponsor means my wife is more likely to get the temporary resident visa? We were already refused once, 2 years ago when we tried to visit Canada for Christmas, because we couldn't prove that she'd be compelled to return to Thailand. Nothing has changed in that department.
Anybody heard of people doing this? Is there any reason to believe that we'd get the temporary resident visa this time? Note that we also have two children, one a 7-year old Thai boy from her previous relationship, and one our 4-month old daughter (who btw is the cutest baby in the universe
