Im new here and I have a few questions seeing as the Mississauga case processing centre doesn't take phone calls. My husband lives in the US and we are applying the Outland route.

1. Do I mail out the sponsorship application forms for myself, and then once approved then we mail out the immigration application? We are just waiting on his FBI check, so I thought I could file my sponsor application first.

2. Do the copies I mail in have to be certified? Ie, the copy of my passport, marriage certificate etc?

3. What fees do I pay now?

4. I'm on disability, so do I mail in a copy of my notice of assessment from last year, or should I wait to receive my T4 from 2011?

Thanks so much for all your help.

Please read the guide carefully. It explains all the details. Still if there is any question please post.

You send in all 3 parts of the application at the same time to Mississauga.

The document checklist states you can send photocopies unless otherwise specified.

Pay all fees up front to avoid delays later on. If they have to request the right of permanent residence fee it can delay things by upto 2 months.
The total amount you should pay is $1040
Sponsorship application $75
Principal applicant $475
Right Permanent Residence fee $490

Last question, I don't know.
