I have a few questions about the Sponsorship Application - mostly because I'm nuerotic :) I have searched the forum, searching for answers and found none. Sorry if any of this is repeated questions. Unfortunately, I'm positive it won't be the last time I post questions.

My fiance are getting married in two weeks and going to start the PR process immediately. As I understand, he needs to apply for permission to be a sponsor first. There are a lot of forms on the webpage and I'm not sure which ones he actually needs. Is it just IMM 1344 and IMM 0008? Does he need a document checklist? IMM 5481?

He was formerly married. For the end of relationship, should be put the date he left her, the date they signed a separation agreement, or the date of their divorce? We have the separation agreement and divorce decree, so including copies is no problem.

Is it okay to apply in my madien name, passport in madien name, etc, even though I intend to change my last name. I live in Calgary, so traveling back to the USA to change my name on driver's license and passport isn't exactly easy :) As I said, I do intend to take his last name (going from 10 letter last name to 4. Can't wait!) on my Canadian documentation, banks, etc.

Immigration office requested - We are considering Outland application even though we live in Calgary. Buffalo is the closest office to my home in the USA. So put Buffalo here?

What is a National Identity Document?

Thanks!

According to CIC website, the visa office should be CPP-O.

You should be getting your sponsorship forms and immigrating forms from this website:

Hope others will answer your other questions.
