Friends,

Hope you can help. I got my PR and moved to Canada via Express Entry. I had not applied for my wife as points were coming low. Can someone suggest how I can apply for her under the spouse category? I see there is Family class and Canadian class and it is little confusing. Also is the application online like Express Entry or paper based only? Thank you for your help.

You cannot sponsor from outside of Canada since you are a PR.

You must be living in Canada in order to sponsor your spouse for PR. The application process is paper-based.

Thank you, I am actually in Canada and my wife is in India. Which class of Family sponsorship should I apply under. Thank you so much for the quick response.

Did your wife have her medicals done when you applied for PR? Was she already your wife before you landed as PR?

Could you explain the "I had not applied for my wife as points were coming low" . Sounds like you applied for PR express visa without declaring your wife?

Did you land as single as PR? Were you already married when you landed and your wife didn't do any medical exam? Please clarify your situation on how you got PR before we can say anything about sponsoring your wife for PR.

Similar situation, but my case js :

I had applied and landed as single PR as we weren't married during my landing.

My question is, will she be able to visit me in Canada on a visitor visa till the outland application is still in prpcess ?

Yes, she can visit you in Canada while an outland application is in process. It won't have any effect on the PR application.
