Sponsoring Spouse for PR or Citizenship

Hello Everyone,

I am currently a PR and will be applying for the citizenship soon in a month or so in the mean while ( I just got married, my wife is in India) we are going to applying for her PR.

I am confused if there is a conflict if we apply for PR and then me applying for citizenship.

No, there isn't a conflict. You can mention you're applying for citizenship if you wish, but your wife's pr application will be long finished before you hear anything about citizenship.

so its it a process of her being in the country for 3 years before she can apply for citizenship or do I have to sponsor her after I get my citizenship

You can sponsor her now as a PR. You can't sponsor someone for citizenship. And by the time your wife qualifies for citizenship the process will be longer. 4 years out of 6 years. The are increasing the amount of time needed.
