Sponsoring parents

Newbie here. I would like to sponsor my parents in the coming year once the stream opens. The only issue I have is that for the income for 2017, the IRCC's income requirement for 4 persons (I sponsored my wife earlier) is $59,426, but I made $59,000+ but less than that. In this case, should I give it a shot? Or there's simply no hope?

IRCC will automatically refused the application if you are even a few dollars below LICO. Unfortunately there's no point applying unless you make at least the minimum income for all three years.

What about your wife? Did she make money? Is she willing to co-sign? That may be an option for you.

Edit: this is assuming that your wife was here in 2017 and worked of course.

Her PR is in processing so I wouldn't think she is qualified as a sponsor.
