Hi
I'm currently looking to sponsor my mum and dad from the US (I'm a Canadian Citizen). The situation is bit difffernt in that they are waiting for their green card application to go through--they did the whole 'Amnesty' business which was set forth by President Clinton. My question is... can i still sponsor them? How long does the whole process take? There's also another twist to my posting...im currently in a long distance relationship with someone from outside of Canada. If we were to get married, would i be able to do a sposal sponsorship? so can i only have one application at a time?
If anyone has answers it woudl be greatly appreciated..
thanks

If you were to get married you can apply outland, the process time varies as to what country she is from. And sponsoring parents is approximately 4 years. So you might want to get married and get your spouse here first then sponsor your parents after your wife is a PR,and you will have to meet the income requirements for your parents.

4 yearssssssssss OMG what the hell is this

Yes 4 years and you required to meet a minimum income. It could be a few months less or more depending on the application and security checks. So you might want to get your spouse here first as it is a lot less time to bring in a spouse as spousal app have priority.
