Sponsoring Parents

Hey guys,

I am thinking of sponsoring my parents to come and live in Canada. My Citizenship application is in process meantime. Does applying to sponsor my parents cause any issue, delay, or RQ, on my citizenship application? Should I wait a year and apply later? Or just go ahead and apply now?
