Hello,
I'm currently working on a PR Sponsorship application for my wife and I'm including with my application an Open Work Permit application as well.
My wife is currently in Canada through the IEC Program(https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/work-canada/iec.html).
One of the items in the OWP CheckList (https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5556e.pdf) says: "If you are a participant in the International Experience Canada (IEC) program, provide proof of health insurance covering the intended extension to your length of stay in Canada".
I would like for some clarification on this item. Her current health insurance expires in May of this year - do we need to get new/extend her insurance? If yes, for how long?
Thanks!
