I would like to sponsor my mother and my younger sister to live with me in Canada, is there a way I can do that without paying for a law firm to help me? Where can I apply online and does anyone knows how much it would cost and the waiting period?

You'll need to look into the parent sponsorship program (provided your sister is under 22 years old, she can be included as a dependent in your mother's application). Before you can sponsor, you'll need to have lived and worked in Canada for at least three years and made enough money to meet the minimum income requirements. There's also a quota and only a specific number of applications are selected each year through a lottery. You're too late to enter the lottery for 2018 - so the earliest you'll be able to try is 2019 (provided you meet the income requirements). More details here:
