Hello.

I am trying to sponsor my husband and two children to go to Canada. But there's been a delay because my daughter got pregnant (but is not married). She will be undergoing her x-ray exam right after giving birth.
I'm just wondering how my daughter's situation can severely affect our family application in any way other than further delay. Also, I was wondering if there's a chance that she could bring her baby with her to Canada once our papers got approved.

Replies are much appreciated. Thank you.

hello.. just want to ask if ur daughter is in canada together with her baby? bcoz i have the same situation.. what was the process done?

If your daughter is considered a dependent of yours (under 22, or if older than 22 has been a full-time student since the age of 22, etc), then her child can be included in the application. It gets a bit tricky because she will need to have authorization from the father of the child to take the child to Canada to immigrate permanently. It shouldn't have any negative impact on your file, but it will certainly cause some delay as the child will have to take medicals as well.

Actually it will have some effect, as the dependent now has a child (soon) the sponsor must meet the LICO. The sponsor must complete the IMM 1283 financial evaluation form when a dependent has a child.

You must now meet LICO to sponsor your husband, children and your grandchild after it is born.
