Hi,
I am a single mom and very lucky to have my mom helping raising my child. She has the super parent visa. How can I ensure that she stays with us permanently? Sponsorship seems to be impossibe until Nov 2013...
Thanks,

Assuming she does not qualify to immigrate independently (i.e. as a skilled worker), there's really nothing you can do to ensure she stays with you permanently. You'll have to wait until the parent sponsorship program re-opens in late 2013.

Hi,

Thank you for your answer! I wonder if I can apply through the living care giver program for my mom. She is 72 years old and speaks basic English... If this is am option, is there a way applying while she is in Canada as visitor and going through the process without having to leave the country?

Thank you so much for all information!

To qualify for live-in caregiver, she must have either six months of related training in the last three years - or one year of related full-time paid work experience in the last three years. She must also have good knowledge of either English or French. Does she meet these requirements?

There are also requirements you must meet (financial).

I think her age may also be an issue (but don't know for certain).

Thank you one more time!
In the event that all requirements are met, would it be possible to apply/receive live-in care working permit/visa while staying in Canada or my mom will heva to go back home and wait for interviews, etc..?

Thanks
