Hi all
I wish to sponsor my husband . I am permanent residence of Canada under provincial nominee programme (economy class family support ) in Winnipeg. I am currently living with my sponsors. My sponsors are refusing to let me apply for my husband under their home address. I don't know what to do now. I don't know anyone who's address I can give. What other options do I have ? Please help. I have to stay in Winnipeg for two years also.

In an earlier post you said you were sponsoring your wife but didn't declare her and your daughter. Guess that was someone else?

When you applied for your PR under PNP were you married at the time? And if so did you declare your husband in the application?

Good point. Rob_TO, the other earlier posts add (more) confusion too :(.

You are a PR of Canada, so you have every right to sponsor your husband under family class for PR. If you live with your relatives now and that is your current address, then that is the address you should put in your application. There is nothing they can do to prevent you applying, there is nothing they will have to sign or do for your family class app, and if you don't mention it to them they will probably not even know about it. All correspondence to you during the application from CIC should be in email form, and even if you did get some mail from CIC would your relatives open your mail without your permission?

Eventually your spouse will simply be approved for PR and he could then come to land in Canada. Of course this will present a pretty awkward situation with your relatives when the time comes, if you're still living with them. I would spend the time his PR app would take processing (at least a year or so), to get a job and find your own place to live.
