Sponsoring Husband (out of country)

I have sent my application in to mississauga and it has been accepted and forwarded to Ankara Turkey. I was wondering if anyone has information on how long it has taken for the application to get accepted (on website it says 14 months- was wondering if that is accurate or hopefully there has been cases that it took a shorter period of time) I also was wondering if I could request a vacation to go back and visit him in Iran (where he lives) would that risk my application at all?

are you the sponsor? if so, if you are a canadian citizen, there is no restriction on your travels outside of canada. if you are a PR, then you will want to keep your traveling short so that CIC doesn't suspect you are not maintaining residency in canada.
