Hi experts,

Situation: A Canadian citizen marries a foreigner who is on study permit. The student is in her final year at the university in Canada. The marriage is taking place in Canada, with all the steps including the marriage licensing, the marriage contrating (Muslim Nikah ceremony) and the wedding rituals.

The question:
What are the steps to get her PR and citizenship? How long it will take?
What are the requirements/pre-requisites? Are any proofs required, such as photos, or any documents from her country of origin, etc etc?

Any guidance and advices are appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
1.
PR could take anywhere from a few months to [insert your best guess here].

Citizenship will take much longer, obviously, since she would not even be eligible for that for years.

2. Yes. There is a lot of `things' you will need to provide. I suggest you:
Determine which application you want to submit - Inland (SCPLC) or Outland. Read the instruction guides for each, along with any country specific requirements of the applicant.

I see.. a follow up information is that her study permit is expiring soon. So, would it be extended till she completes her marriage process?
