I am sponsoring PR while my wife is in India [in Dec end] but she will be coming to USA on H4 in Jan. Is she required to stay whole duration in India till she gets her immigration or only till she applies and latter she can be in US while her application is processed in India.
Sponsoring for wife living in India and coming to US next month.

she can stay in any country of the world during her file processing in India - there's no restriction to that at all. but keep in mind that she might be asked to come for the interview in the visa office and she will have to travel there.

just one more point, - she might be also asked to send her passport to visa office during the process - you need to consider this point in case she is asked for the interview and has to travel back to India.
I've also read on this forum that India will not send the passport to an address outside of India, so most likely you'd have to go back after the PPR, unless you have the ability to make other arrangements with people living in India.
