Sponsoring Family for a Wedding

Hello all,

I was wondering if any of you have had the opportunity to get marry here in Canada and have family overseas.

My family and friends will be coming from Colombia, which is a country that requires a Visitor Visa to enter Canada. I haven't have luck contacting CIC and my question is: Do I send a list of my guests to the Canadian embassy in Colombia for when they apply for the visa? Or should it be enough with just sending the wedding invitation so it is attached to each package for each applicant?
