Sponsoring by Father-father to turn 3 years in August 2010

Hello Everyone,

My father will be applying for his citizenship in Vancouver this coming August 2010, can he sponsor me on his 3rd year or does he need to get first his citizenship ID, legal documents before sponsoring me. He wants to sponsor me on August if it will permit him to do so, so that my papers are on process already.

Can somebody help me on this.

If your father is living in Canada right now, he can sponsor to come you to Canada for immigration while he is still Permenant Resident (no need to wait until he is Citizen).

Thanks for the information. It was helpful. All along, I thought we need to wait for his citizenship (legal documents before applying to sponsor me).
