Sponsored wife has study permit. Could we travel abroad during process?

I will be sending the documents this weekend. She has a student permit and is studying in a post-secondary school.

Can we travel to say the caribbean?

Yes, why do you think you can't? If you are applying inland though, and for some reason she isn't let back into the country, the application is cancelled. If you apply outland this wouldn't be the case.

Lastly, if you are a PR, you must remain in Canada to sponsor, so as long as the trips are reasonable vacation times, then it's ok. If you plan to stay for months in another country, you can't sponsor.
