OK so I am completely clueless as to what to do or how to go about finding the info that I need. Can someone PLEASE help me?? I am seeking info on how to become sponsored by my boyfriends Canadian family so that I may go back to Canada and work on becoming a citizen in due time. I have searched every where that I can think of but have yet to find any info that I may need. Im basically one of those women that if its not put right in front of me then I have no hope...lol. Please someone help guide me in the direction that I may need to go.

First of all, your boyfriend's family cannot sponsor you. If you two were married, your Canadian husband could sponsor you. You have given us a bare minimum to work on in your post. What is you education/occupation/financial situation/age? Read the requirements for the Federal Skilled Worker programme, temporary worker, student visa and get back to us with your questions. Good Luck. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp

I am a 31 year old female who sadly has no college background. The only schooling I have is a GED from being a high school drop out. I currently work a gas station. I don't have a lot of money. I dont really know of any jobs available in the area that I am seeking to return to.

Right, there is no immigration class for girlfriends so if you are serious enough with your boyfriend, marry him and he can sponsor you. That or go an live with him for a year, then you could qualify as common law partners. For that, you would have to request to extend your visitor status after 6 months and you can not work because you don't have a permit.

In order to get a work permit in Canada, you must find a job and the employer must show that he can not find any PR or citizen who wants that job although he has advertised and is offering market rates. If Service Canada is happy with that, they will give an ok and you would be able to apply for a work permit based on that. However, a work permit does not necessarily allow you ways to immigrate later on unless it is a skilled job.
