Sponsor wife living outside

I am married to a canadian citizen for 2 years now and current we are living in the USA with plan to move to Canada in the future. I am originally from Brazil but have been in the USA for more the 10 years. We are corrent in the process for my residence here but have been approved yet. I'd like to know if is possible my husband do my do the solicitation for be my spousal sponsorship even if we still living outside Canada. And what is necessary to start the process. Since your husband is a Canadian citizen, he can sponsor you while you two are living outside of Canada. He will have to include proof in the application that he is planning to come back to live in Canada when you get the PR visa.
