Sponsor Sister from Japan

Am I able to sponsor my Sister from Japan? She is a resident and working in Japan and living with his partner but she’s not married on his first husband and his partner right now. She is still using single and using our family last name. I have 2 kids and separated with my husband and no relatives here in Calgary except that I have aunt living in Vancouver. Is my application will be affected because I have aunt in Vancouver?

Unfortunately, you're not eligible.

To be able to sponsor your sister, you have to have no living relatives in Canada and no one else you could sponsor (ie, your parents would need to be dead).

You can't sponsor her for the same reasons you can't sponsor your nephew. The only family members you could sponsor are parents or a spouse/common-law partner.
