Maybe a silly question, but better to be safe.

Outland application, on form IMM5540 Sponsor Questionnaire, question 8, it asks about countries you've lived in outside of Canada.

I assume one would not put their address in Canada there if it falls between two other countries?

Ex - lived in country A, moved to Canada, now live in country B. I didn't put Canada, just put countries A and B, however note there would be a gap in the times between them (the time I was in Canada).

The reason I ask is people have mentioned never to leave gaps in time on forms, so I thought I'd ask.

Mine had huge gaps there, because I was back in Canada. The question specifically asks for countries other than Canada, so there is no need to include your Canadian addresses there.

The issues with gaps are generally on the applicant's form, I think it's 5669. That form specifically says to not leave gaps, but people do and either have it sent back, or they get delayed.
