There is a question on the IMM5540 it asks for my monthly salary income.... I work for a temporary agency, so its not like I work every single week and every single day of the year, my income varies every month, so I don't know exactly what to put there.... can I just put a rough estimate? please help! I don't want to write a number down and then get penalized in the end. Thanks.

Gary

If you put an estimate, it might be a good idea to explain it on a separate sheet of paper.

I've been unemployed for a few months, so I took my after-taxes salary last year, and divided to find the monthly take-home. Then I multiplied that number by the number of months I had been employed in the last year, added in the severance package I received when I was laid off, and used that figure for my annual income.

I laid all of this out in a word document that I will attach to that form.

thanks, anyone else have any other suggestions?

I agree with the pp. I think if you can estimate and explain - always explain, the more the better.
