SPONSOR NOT WORKING BUT DUE TO START SOON

Hi Everyone,

My wife who is sponsoring me is currently not working as she is visiting me in London, in may she returns to Canada and may have a job to start which is not certain yet, would it be better for our application if she was working before we send the application (so we can put her status as employed rather than unemployed) or would this not affect our application? (is the application based on scoring points)
She has no rent or bills to pay in Canada just student loans

There is no minimum income requirement for sponsoring a spouse. That being said, I would suggest that an in-detail letter be submitted with the application. Mention that there will not be any bills(rent/hydro ect) for your spouse and the job prospect or what steps will be taken to secure employment should that job not pan out. If staying with family or friends, get them to write a letter as well. It only has to state that your spouse is staying with them, how long she can stay and that she is not responsible for the bills.

CIC takes all that into account to determine the chances of going on welfare. (I included letters like these and was approved to sponsor)
