Hello Friends,

Both me and my husband are PR holders. I am blessed with a baby in India. And I applied for TRV for my baby and he is here with us in Canada right now. Now my question is we will be eligible for citizenship in next 6 months. should i apply for baby PR now or will he be eligible to be citizen along with us ? if i need to apply for PR Please advice advise me how should I apply for the PR for my baby.
Please help in solving this issue, because my baby is not issued with health card. they need to have a UCI number for the health card, but my baby is in TRV he doesn't have the UCI number. And you know how hard it to have a baby without health card in the coldest country like canada.
Kindly help me. Thank you in advance.

Your child needs to be a PR before getting citizenship. When you decided not to have your child and bring the baby to Canada on a TRV you needed to plan to pay for healthcare out of pocket until the child qualified for healthcare. Hopefully you bought private insurance to cover emergencies in case there is a need for expensive unexpected healthcare. Health is actually not related to cold weather.
