Hi,

I sent out my application for spousal sponsorship outside Canada.

My sponsorship assessment is In Process. However, suddenly I observed that the Spouse Permanent Residence application which indicated 'Application Received' status changed to 'In Process' even before I get any Sponsorship assessment compelted.

Does anybody knows what it means?

Most people do not get updated in eCas. As sponsor, have you received email or letter telling you sponsorship is approved? If yes, then you don't have to worry about the sponsorship assessment side...with the SA, sponsorship is complete despite what eCas says. Mine's still in process, but COPR is already received.

No; i havent received email or letter stating sponsorship is approved. But the PR has gone into processing.

What is "test letter” you mention in your signature? I assume it means you got some feedback.

It may be nothing, it may be something. Your sponsorship appears to be fine, so that won't be the problem. It won't hurt to order notes and see what's going on.

At the very least, you can see if there was any emails to you which you did not receive, any requests for updates. Losing email is very real. Happened to us. Another poster ordered notes, and said that there was AOR2 in those records, but he never received it. AOR2 sometimes contains request for re-doing certain forms (5669 is very common), reminder to send police certs, asking you to re-do medical if it's going to expire soon, etc. These require you to take action. The VO will not send you a reminder whether you received the email. You are assume to have received it. My guess is that even if their email system has problem and did not send out properly, they would not check that proactively.
