Hi, first and foremost I apologize if this is the incorrect place for this thread, I wasn't sure where to place it.
So my situation. I sponsored my wife to Canada 2.5 years ago. She lives in Canada, is a PR, has a job (red seal trade), drivers license, etc. I moved back to Canada with her and had a good job in the construction industry until recently when I was laid off. I haven't been able to find work since, and she has been supporting our family. I have decided to start my own company, but with winter coming its going to be very difficult securing customers as this isn't the best time of year for my work. My question is, Ontario Works offers assistance to individuals starting their own companies for I believe 72 or 60 weeks. I was wondering since I am a sponsor can I apply to this without having to pay anything back? I just need a little help for the first few months as I have contracts lined up for the spring. Any help in this matter would be appreciated.
