all,

is there any rule which prevents the person from leaving canada after he gets approval fr wife sponsership? like if he gets approval and leaves for 6 or 7 months - is this ok? or will it cause issue in the future?

please advise

That would depend on if you are a PR or a Citizen. As a PR is it generally advisable that you don't leave the country for extended periods of time until your spouse has landed as a PR because it could put your application in danger of being rejected if CIC finds that you are not actually living in Canada any longer. There is no 'set' course for this, however, most suggest you don't leave for more than 2 or 3 weeks to a time and continue to spend a majority of your time in Canada.
