Hello everyone,
We got married a couple months back, she's an American citizen and I am a Canadian citizen. We live in neighboring border cities in the US and Canada. Today we were crossing into Canada from the US and I asked the officer at primary if I can get a temp visa for her as we figure out the immigration papers.
Long story short, we get sent to immigration and they (didn't deny her entry, they let her in, thank god) they told us to pick a country and file. I asked for a visitor's record but they would not give that to us because I have not sponsored her to live in Canada yet.
I come to you guys to ask for advice, I did a quick google search and I see there are two different types of filing, (Inland, Outland). Which one would be better for us? She would like to visit the US everyone and then if possible. She's currently unemployed but studying for a licensing exam in the state of MI and she might have to visit the US if she needs anything to be taken care of.
I am not sure which route is best for us at this point, the last thing I want is for us to be separated.
Which one has a faster processing time? which route would let her get visitor's record to let her in and out of the country?
Thanks in advance.
Any advice is appreciated at this point.
