Spelling in Passport and Marks Card is different

My name is spelt as Fredrick in my Diploma certificate and in my passport its spelt
as Fredic , is it going to be a problem if i submit my ECA with this name ?

Unless you can show proof the the names, Frederick and Fredic are the same person, like court ruling etc.

Thanks for the advice EdGuien. This is a lot easier than getting my name corrected in
the Passport. ;D

Hi EdGuien,

I consulted a lawyer today and he was of the opinion that getting a court ruling stating
that Fredic & Fredrick are the names of the same person could take more than a month.
He instead suggested that an Affidavit in front of a Notary would be easier and quicker and
can also be used to correct my name in the passport. Please suggest if this would suffice?
I may receive the ECA copy in about 7-10 days.
