Speeding Ticket on background check

I have been asked to submit police clearance from local police as I was not able to get my fingerprints read by FBI's system (tried 4-5 times). On the local police letter, they have mentioned that I was "cited for speed on xx/xx/xxxx".

Should I be worried? Canada immigration had asked me to get a "certificate of no criminal conviction", but the local police has given me a letter stating the above.

Is a speeding ticket considered a criminal conviction? I had paid the fine on time (approx. 3 yrs ago).

Speeding ticket is not Criminal conviction.

First of all FBI has nothing to do with speeding tickets. It is not mentioned on FBI report, if it is mentioned then it is not FBI report. I could be your local police report (State police report). But either way, it is not a criminal act, so don't worry.

I mentioned in the original note... it is local police clearance letter that says about my speeding ticket.

Then don't worry. Speeding comes under traffic violation, it is not a criminal act, unless you were driving as DUI.

All the letter says is ""cited for speed on xx/xx/xxxx". And it was a regular speeding ticket, not a DUI.
