Speaking test: should I continue talking until stopped ?

I wonder in speaking test if I should continue talking until stopped ? or say only 3~4 sentences to reduce possible mistakes ?

If you go on for too long or if your answer is a bit short, they usually give you another question/topic or ask you to elaborate more.

A Simple Question Would Be:

"How do you feel about technology and it's importance"
