SOWP travel restrictions

I got my SOWP along with my wife's Study permit. We are intending to travel into Canada during the next month. I read on the website* that you are only allowed to enter into Canada if you have a valid job contract even if you have a valid work permit. Can someone confirm this.

You can enter Canada if both of you are traveling together.
