SOWP Pending From September 2018

Hello all, i've applied for my wife's SOWP online from Canada outland application in September 2018. They started reviewing eligibility on Nov 14 and no update so far then. I've contacted MP and after querying got reply from them that CIC reviewed the file in Dec and scheduled it for an interview. And also been asked to wait a month until Feb 23. I've waited until now but no update from CIC so far. Do you think its worthy to wait further?

What other choice do you have? Just hang in there, interview should happen shortly. Have you considered contacting CIC directly using a webform or calling them? Google "IRCC webform".

Hey man well, CIC has written my employer to verify the documents submitted and my employer has verified the info and mailed them back. I hope will hear something soon. Well, I've mailed them quite a few times and submitted CSE too earlier.

Have you ordered your case notes (i.e. GCMS)? If not, I would try doing that. It takes 30 days for them to arrive but may give you insights into what's happening. Also - the notes should tell you why they want an interview which will allow you to properly prepare.

Hey, Scylla well, the applicant's status changed on last Wednesday from 'Background check: we are reviewing to 'Not applicable' and I've learned from my Boss that they sent a mail to him asking to confirm the authenticity of the docs submitted (ref letter, pay stub and job duties) and he verified and mailed them back. So, so far two updates happened like two times the status changed to 'Application/profile updated' but no actual change was visible. Hence I think they are working on the application. Still, u think there is need to apply for GCMS notes?

Ah - I missed that update. Then no - you don't need to order the notes. It's clear the request for information is what's caused the delay.

Okay, thanks for that. Btw in your experience for Sowp, considering the fact that they delayed it this much, would they still delay further? Or I can expect them to send a request for an interview or medical soon?
