[SOS] Can I apply study-permit while waiting for spouse PR sponsorship inside Canada

Hi,

I am currently waiting for PR process inside Canada being sponsored by my spouse. I finished my medical exam and send documents. I have not received Approval In Principle letter yet.

and, Recently, I've got an offer letter from a school.
but, It seems hard to get a study permit. I would like to ask some questions relating to this.


1. Can I apply study-permit inside Canada while waiting for Permanent Resident?

2. If not, why...?

3. How long does it take for people to receive Approval In Principle letter?
(I sent an application last December)

4. Is First Stage Approval same with Approval in Principle?

5. Is there any way that I can appeal to get AIP faster..?

Yes - you can apply for a study permit. No - you cannot appeal to get AIP faster.
