Hi, I am hoping for an ITA. I have certain queries regarding my profile and my spouse's. kindly help. Also please suggest if I need an immigration lawyer. Everything seems very complicated and I am unsure if it's just my assumption or actual problem.

1. I partially did my first semester online, 2 months from India back in 2021. I had an overlap of my notice period (full-time job) at that time for like a month. Will this overlap cause errors anywhere while filing education/work history sections because of the dates? or anywhere in points calculation as this period will be included for my foreign work experience and Canadian education (my course was nearly 2 years and my pgwp is already approved)

2. I had a condition for medical surveillance in my study permit and I contacted them promptly and did several check-ins, but I was not given an appointment because of COVID delays. Ircc MHB even replied it was not a mistake on my side and that all I had to do was wait until I got an appointment from public health. That study permit expired and I moved to another city with PGWP (which did not have any medical clause). I did not check after I received PGWP. Should I check again?

3. My spouse's father has not lived with them since she was 6, her mother is not officially divorced. He just abandoned them. ( this I was in the 90s. not an uncommon case in the part of India I am from. She was in touch with that side of the relatives until her grandparents were alive and had no contact after that, for nearly 15 years now). We mentioned the same and wrote an LOE for her SOWP. will this cause an issue for PR as we do not have his address? I understand there is a form with family details and addresses. If this will cause any delay in the Background check we can try to find his address but my wife would prefer no contact.

@Naturgrl @canuck78 pls advice

1. As per https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...full-time-student-for-fsw.389216/post-8183951 and https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i.../threads/overlap-of-study-and-work-ex.499909/ it's not an issue for foreign work experience (an India job in your case). (If it was in Canada then maybe you couldn't claim work experience points and you'd only have the study time counted - but you should still disclosure the work. Even in this case overlapping dates aren't an issue, the main thing is to avoid claiming points you don't have.)

2. No, I think the check-in requirement ended when the study permit expired and you changed to PGWP.

3. As per https://www.thewayimmigration.ca/im...our application,address unknown – no contact”. there's no impact to say "address unknown - no contact"
