Hi all,
So I just graduated from University. My main plan was to enter to Canada as a general practitioner and then make my specialization there.
I was wondering if in order to get my Visa I must have at least one year of working experience?
I've been reading and for what I've understood, if I want to apply to express entry it is obligatory. But isn't there another kind of process or way since my plans are to keep studying and perfectioning myself once there?
I just wouldn't like to wait for so long, we all know the process itself takes months and the situation in my country is becoming worse and worse.
Thanks a lot!

Yes, you must have at least one year of full time and continuous work experience to qualify to apply to immigrate.

If you don't want to wait that long, then another option would be to come to Canada on a study permit as an international student - and then apply for PR in a few years.

I would also recommend that you research what it takes to work as a doctor in Canada. You will not be able to work in Canada as a doctor (even a GP) with the credentials you have now. You will need to go through a certification process in order to be able to practice as a doctor in Canada. This process typically takes a few years to complete.
