Hello All,

I see some really well-informed people in this forum, so I am asking a few questions about the application that I have submitted. Please help!

1. I sent my application from Los Angeles, US on April 29, 2010 and the packet was delivered on May 07, 2010. Since then, I have not heard back. Is there a way to contact about the status of the application since the Nova Scotia office does not have anything but the mail address? Or is it too early to contact them?

2. Is the eligibility verification i.e. the 67 pass-score thing done before the first receipt is sent out or in a later stage? I want to know at what stage will I come to know if the application has been accepted for processing.

3. I had opted to pay the fees using a Visa Card. Is that OK?

4. At what stage will the fees be cashed out from my account?

Thank you very much for your help and support!!!!

hi abhattacharya

Nowadays, it will take about 45-90 days before they respond to your initial application. It might be too early to contact them. I believe that at this stage , they will just check if you submitted all the documents needed for the first stage but I might be wrong. Visa card would be okay as long as you use the credit card form provided. They will charge your credit card within 45-90 days before giving you an AOR.

Its too early wait for atleast 60 days - April applicants has just started receiving their AORs.

2. Is the eligibility verification i.e. the 67 pass-score thing done before the first receipt is sent out or in a later stage? I want to know at what stage will I come to know if the application has been accepted for processing.

It will be done in the second stage and if you pass 67 score then your application status will be changed to "In-process"

3. I had opted to pay the fees using a Visa Card. Is that OK?
Yes that is fine.

4. At what stage will the fees be cashed out from my account?
They will cash out the fees first and after that you will receive AOR in between 15 - 30 days.

Thank you very much for your help and support!!!!
