Hi there,
I had my last subject left in the summer 2018 and I took it online as it wasn’t available on campus in summer. I wanted to get it done quickly but eventually while studying it took me till January. My result was out in late january 2019 and unfortunately I couldn’t pass it. So, I won’t be getting that until next fall i.e. fall 2019 and my visa expires in nov2019. Please suggest me what should I do here as the university told me that there’s more chances of my work permit getting declined. Please tell me all the possible options. Thank you

What semester was your last full-time semester and which year?
Hi there,
I had three courses in fall 2017 and then two in winter 2018. As one of the course was a pre-requisite of my last course, so I couldn’t take the last one in winter 2018. Thus, I took the last one in Summer2018.
Should I take any course online rn as I don’t have anything to do now. Or should I just continue my degree for another two years.

You probably wont get PGWP due to the break in studies and non full time status . Dont understand what you mean by continuing for 2 more years? what will that do for you?

My university told me that the visa officers focus more on last 2-3 years of studies. So, I am already done with my diploma amd I’d be having 2 more years in order to finish the degree in computing science and also I am planning for co-op which would add an extra year to my studies. So, that’ll help me to make my record better if I don’t repeat the same mistakes twice.

Not true. They will look at the whole program. You will have essentially been part-time or not studying for close to 2 years and will not qualify for a PGWP for this program of study.

Also note that if you have worked at all since becoming part-time in the winter 2018 semester, you have worked illegally.

So, what’s my alternative now. Should I just continue the degree or get myself enrolled in a whole new program and start my studies all over again.
