Hi All,

I am about to submit my application today, and it seems CIC has messed up the software. Sometimes items are not showing up in the document check list. Can someone please help me validate if there is anything missing from the checklist?

Below is the doc checklist they provided me:
Primary applicant:
1. Employment - first job
2. Employment - second
3. Employment - third
4. Marriage License
5. PCC
6. Proof of Status
7. Proof of Financial Support
8. Medical
9. Educational records
10. Digital Photo
11. Proof of relationship (for Canada relative)

For spouse:
1. Education records
2. Photo
3. Medical
4. PCC
5. Experience – first job
6. Experience – second job

Also, for passport - are only front 2 and last 2 pages enough? Or do they need all stamps, other country visas ?

Thank you very much in advance! It's the judgment day today - hence I'm taking additional precautions!

Everyone's documents are different, generated by how you answered the questionnaire, so no one can really tell you this is complete. Upload your education assessment as a precaution, plus diplomas/certificates, and translations if they are not in English. Passport with stamped pages, although if you are American, you can use another identity document instead of a passport if you want, as long as it has all the relevant identity info and a picture. I didn't have anything called Proof of Status, and was a little surprised they didn't ask for my work permit or my partner's study permit - but figured they had those anyway.

Your checklist looks good, but, as I said, everyone's is different. Good luck!

Include IELtS in additional documents
and provide passport all pages with stamps

Thanks guys!

I'm not American, so I guess I should be uploading the stamped pages of the passport - damn, I just hope I don't hit the 4 MB file size limit. I have two passports filled with stamps! And yes, I think I"ll add in IELTS and WES, along with all mark sheets / degrees. Hope that covers everything!

Thanks again, appreciate it!

Where are you adding the passport details? It does not seem to be asked in your list of documents or for your spouse for that matter.

We had to compress quite a few of our files.

What software did you use? I tried few of the online compression tools, they returned with zero improvement!

Hi Caimi,

The CIC website is having some issues, due to which they are not showing all the documents required in the checklist!!! They absolutely need the passport, but that option doesn't show up in the checklist due to this bug. So I am checking if I have missed anything else that the system is not showing in checklist, but CIC still requires it.

As per suggestions from folks here, I'm going to add these miscellaneous items in the "Letter of explanation" section.

@ Wolf Mettalo
the documents you mentioned have employment - first, second and third job.. were these jobs in same NOC?

i am curious because in my express entry profile i have mentioned one job with 4 year experience- the NOC for which i am claiming points.. the second job which i am currently working is in different NOC. do i have to get the employment letter for current job also for which i am not claiming points ?

i m yet to get an ITA . i have submitted my profile 3 days ago with 478 points...

Hey what does this means ??
Employment first job
employment second job

Only my current job is eligible for the NOC - 5 years here. Previous jobs are 1 year each. However, even for previous job you need a employment letter. I don't have a letter with responsibilities, I only have the typical letter - but that is fine since I'm not claiming points for those jobs.

Get all letters - for those which you will claim points, provide everything: start date, end date, salary, responsibilities, pay stubs, etc. I have also included promotion letters!

Hope this helps.

Check this link. It contains instructions for CIC employees to perform the completeness check.

It is a bit outdated (e.g. the PCC requirements are still listed as 3 months old), but should you give a good idea of the documents required depending on your situation:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp

Hey - you say that the PCC requirement is old - what's the new requirement then??? Is it 6 months or 1 year?

I have an India PCC from September 2014, but now I'm waiting to get another PCC from the Indian consulate (and its taking a while). Do you think PCC from september is fine?

If you haven't travelled to India after September 2014, then that PCC will work.

I did, I am from India. So, I was in India between Sept 2014 till Feb 2015. Then I came to US. I keep doing this every few months, so my life is a hell in terms of PCCs :D

In any case, I think best way for me is to submit this PCC and also add letter of explanation that "I'm working on getting a new one, would take few more weeks". Do you agree?

I saw one post today where one application was cancelled because of a similar issue. I see that you still have time to submit your documents. I would suggest that get India PCC and then apply with complete package or atleast wait till you have time.

Through BLS Vancouver, I got my India PCC in less than 2 weeks.
