Hi,

I have 4 year of Experience as Software Developer(NOC- 2174).Than i am promoted to Software Developer Manager(NOC 0213).And as Software developer manager my experience is 1 year. My question is my experience of Software Developer(NOC-2174) is counted when i will apply as Software Developer Manager(0213) under Skilled Category.Because some of the duties of Software developer are matched with software developer manager.

Please Replyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

If you are applying for any Computer Professional then you can only apply under 0213 Computer Manager.
You will have to show at least 1 Year of experience as working in some Senior Position or Manager level position.
As you said that u have worked for Software Manager for 1 year then you are eligible to apply under NOC code 0213.

Thanks for reply.

its ok that i am eligible for applying under software developer manger(0203).But my questiion is that my previous experience of software developer will be counted while calculating points for immigeration.because if i show the expereince of 1 year of software developer manager that my points are 54(excluding IELTS).but if the expereice of Software Developer wil add than points are 60(Excluding IELTS).
Because the most of duties of software developer are same as of Software developer manager.

Short answer yes you get points for 2174 provided you meet the eligibility criteria under 0213.

You can claim 21 points.
You need atleast 1 year in 0213 and rest 3 years expereince can be in category 0, A or B. To have more information on category 0, A or B please read

What are NOC Skill Types and Skill Levels?

The first digit of the NOC code identifies the Skill Type of an occupation.
•1 corresponds to Skill Level A
•2 or 3 correspond to Skill Level B
•4 or 5 correspond to Skill Level C
•6 corresponds to Skill Level D
Skill Level A represents occupations usually requiring university education. Skill Level B refers to occupations usually requiring college education or apprenticeship training.
