Skilled Worker : family member and finances to be shown at time of application

Hi ,

Im applying under FSW immigration but I am confused about family count.According to CIC ,from May 2014 ,you will have to show finances for all your family members ,whether they are accompanying you to canada or not.My question is How to define family here .I live with my mom (age 65) ,brother (age 36) ,me (single).
Now if family means a person,with spouse and kids ,then it means I have to show funds for my self only.Am I right ????or is there any twist in family member definition since I am living with my mother and brother.
