I plan to apply for a supervisa for my parents (Indian citizens). Had the following questions –

1. Is there any requirement on the size of the accommodation that the sponsor has and do we have to mention any details in the invite letter? I am currently in a single bedroom apartment with plans to shift to a larger accommodation closer to the arrival of my parents. Do I need to move before I send the invite letter and the application for visa is submitted?

2. My parents seem to have lost their marriage certificate. Can we use the last page of the passport which contains the spouse name along with an affidavit from their country of residence to make up for this?

3. My parents will be visiting the UK before coming to Canada. Can the supervisa be applied from UK for Indian citizens? Is it recommended to apply from their home country?

Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Do you not have a government office/registry in India where you can get a copy of the marriage certificate? The reason I ask is from the country where I am from for a certain fee I can get a copy of my birth certificate, marriage certificate and even certificate of non marriage.
Although I remember someone from this forum did submit an affidavit instead, but make sure you indicate this on the Letter of Explanation (cover letter) why you have no marriage certificate.

I don't think you can lodge an application from UK if you are a tourist. If they have residency permit they can do so, but for tourist you cannot do that. Better apply from your home country. FYI, it takes a long time for visa processing in Indian. Better apply before you leave for UK. Make sure that the Biometrics are also taken so that in case their visa gets approved and they are in UK they can request to submit their passports in a Canada Visa Application Centre in UK.
