Six months in express entry

Hi,
It will be six months on July 19 for my permanent application under CEC. Immigration called me a month ago and questioned why chose law against computer (area of my previous studies). They also asked me why I changed my institution. I gave my all reason for same and it is been a months I have not heard anything back.

I need to see my family living out of Canada in September, 2017 but if I leave I wont be able to re-enter.

I want to know If I can do anything. All immigration saying is that my file is on a final review.
