Hi,

I am a Canadian PR holder and currently 6 months pregnant. My mother is her 60's and has high blood pressure problem.I live here alone with my husband in Toronto.I need a woman's support at the time of , and later after birth of my child.

1- Can i apply to bring my sister on visit visa due to this reason? .She has a permanent job in Pakistan. What documents would i need to file for her application.
2- Can somebody please tell me the procedure. My husband works on 12 hours shift and if i have to bring my sister on visit ,i will need to do all the work on my own.
3- One more thing ! does canadian embassy accept 'siblings' for visit visa in such circumstances as mine.I will be grateful for replies. Thanks

Your sister can apply for a visit visa. Send her an invitation letter, stating how long you wish her to stay and that you will provide for her needs (housing, food, spending money etc). That you are pregnant and want her assistance will not give you any special priority, but it's OK to mention that is why you are asking her to visit.

Have her get a letter from her employer, stating how long she can be away, what her duties are and her annual salary. If she owns or leases her apartment/house, she should have proof of this as well. She will also need bank statements showing her savings, to show she can afford to take the trip. You should also include your own bank statement to show you have funds available to care for her needs. Ensure she has a return ticket.

Start reading here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/apply-how.asp for information on how to apply. She is the one who will have to submit the application to the embassy in Islamabad, but nothing says you can't help her to fill it out.

As I said before, there is no special consideration for you or her just because you want her to visit during your pregnancy, you have to take your chances and see if they will approve it.
