My best friend came to visit me canada for my bday she adores it Alot she wants to live in canada but she doesnt no how to apply does she need a sin card she from uk how can she apply for a sin to work in canada can someone please help we both need good information so she can start applying thank you

She would have to apply to immigrate like everyone else. Depending on her age she may want to apply to the IEC program. Unfortunately not as simple as just getting a SIN card.

As noted above, she either needs to be a Permenent resident or have a valid work permit. She would need to have either to get a SIN number. Until then, she can’t work in Canada at all. Doing so is illegal and can lead to her being banned if they find out.

No she just needs to now how can she get she hasnt applied thats what were trying to figure out can she just apply for sin then work or work like if someone wants to hire her you know thanks for reply if you have nore information in helping us dont hesitate thanks

Not sure where you are getting that the IEC is harder from my response. There tends to be quite a lot of applicants from the UK so she may not get selected. Would suggest you google the iec program and immigration in general.

As others have said, she cannot simply apply for a SIN. It doesn't work that way.

The IEC / Working Holiday Visa program is her only 'easy' option to be able to work here. But as others have explained, there are limited spots available for the UK because a lot of people who want a spot. She should submit her profile as soon as possible and hope she is selected (there is absolutely no guarantee she will be selected). You can find details here:

Otherwise it will be very difficult for her to be able to work in Canada. She would either need to apply to immigrate (to become a permanent resident). This is a long and expensive process - and it's quite possible she may not qualify if she doesn't have the right education and work experience. The other option would be to find an employer who is willing to give her a full time job and also obtain an approved LMIA so that she can apply for a work permit. It's generally next to impossible to find employers who are willing to go through the LMIA process.
