signature for BOWP form 5710

I am applying BOWP online and wondering how to sign the applicant's signature at the end of the form without printing out. I printed it out , signed and scanned but the document couldn't upload. pls someone help on how to sign the form digitally without printing. Thanks

Surely the final stages of your online application will provide digital signature option. This does not require a regular signature but your full name is needed here!

That is strange ... You mean you do not see that option at all? Please check if the problem is related to your version of acrobat reader...

can u tell me what u did bout the photograph..how did u take it and upload it? do u go to studio and take? do u scan both sides or upload it? I am really confused about it..pls help.

that's very weird. the only thing I can think of is there might be a problem with your pdf reader. Try opening other forms to see if you can type anything on it.

If you still can't, then try uninstalling the pdf reader, then reinstall.
Or - try downloading a different pdf editor program altogether. There are lots of them out there that are free to use. (or even try it if you have another computer??)

If all else fails.. in worst case scenario, just print out the form (and fill it in by hand), scan and email it to me. I will type it in on my computer, then paste the signature for you using my photoshop.

Your safest bet is to go to a photographer and ask for a digital copy. You can then upload it during your application completion. Hope this answers you question.

i went to the studio with the instructions, they took my pics and saved to cd, then i inserted into my computer and uploaded to cic. u can scan and save save ordinary passport photo as well, just follow the instructions

Have you tried updating your software? When was the last time you did that? Maybe that's all it takes.

For others' information, I found that after I finished the form and then clicked on "validate" button and then it pop up a dialog says:

Validation completed successfully.

Please print the entire application and sign and date the last page. This page contains bar codes that facilitates data entry of your applicaton.

If you are applying online, you do not need to sign your application form by hand. You will be asked to provide an electronic signature once you are ready to transmit your documents to CIC.
