- A copy of both sides of the family member's Canadian citizenship document, Canadian birth certificate and/or permanent resident card must be provided.
- Evidence that the family member currently resides in Canada must be provided (a residential lease, mortgage documents, utility bills, etc.). The documents must show their address in Canada and should be recent (dated within six months prior to submission).
- Proof of the relationship of the applicant or the accompanying spouse or common-law partner to the family member must also be provided (e.g., a birth certificate, an official document naming the applicant as a relative, a copy of the inside back cover of the relative’s passport showing the relative’s parents’ marriage certificate, legal adoption documents and any other documents that prove or describe the relationship).
Thanks, but this is just theory. What actual documents can I submit? Evidence of being in Canada can be provided using PR Card, Utility Bills etc.
But, what should we submit to prove the relationship? The document must show both Father and Mother name. The Canadian passport of the sister does not contains Father's name. What other documents can be submitted (apart from Birth Certificate)?
can provide birth certificate of your wife and her sister. I think it should work. Were your wife and her sister born in the same country ? In my country we have a family household record which clearly indicates relationship between members.
Yes, my wife and her sister were both born in the same country (India). But, I am not sure that there is a Birth Certificate available (may have been misplaced). That is why was asking what else can be submitted.
Can you contact to the local government to see if anything they can provide to show the proof ? Any documents from school of both showing parent's names ? If it's too complicated, I would advise to give IRCC a call for more detail
We have documents from schools and colleges (Degrees and Marksheets) that have FATHER'S name. Will that work?
Personally I think it will work. Might wait for other ppl to confirm

The problem is on my sibling passport mother name is written as Surjit and on my passport it’s written as Surjeet. ( A little spelling error are there)
on her birth certificate father name is written as Angrej Singh brar, on my Birth certificate it’s written Angrej Singh ( brar is not mention there)
Birth Certifiacte was in Hindi so we got translated it from certified translator and attached both copies.
What we can do for the name error in passport, will it be okay if we attach Letter of explanation with that.
